Where can i get an idler pulley spacer/bolt for a cadillac Eldorado , All stores ive checked dont even acknowledge its exsistance.(NYCqueens)
Check with your Caddy dealer.
You may have to buy the idler wheel assembly to get the bolt.
Its a single wheel pulley that eveyone sells ,when i even mention the bolt they have no idea , i have found on amazon and rock auto a part that says pulley bolt and spacer kit but the pictures are the exact same with no spacer in it i think they are talking about a washer
Only option is most likely dealer... kinda stupid to sell a pulley that doesnt cone with needed bolts to install it ..
Try gmpartsgiant.com or gmpartsdirect.com. they may still have it. If not you can at least get a GM part number and search eBay, Amazon, etc. for it. You also may be able to get one from the junkyard or, with the original GM part number, from your local auto parts store. At NAPA where I work we have a "NAPA Original Equipment" line (NOE). There's a lot of oddball stuff we can get within that line. So you may get lucky. HTH. -Jim
NAPA is great but they pulled out of my town and now all we have is O-Really's.
I believe the GM part number you are looking for is 12555244. If you Google "12555244 GM" several diagrams showing the idler pulley and bolt assembly come up. It's item #6 on the diagram. EBay and some other places have it. Looks like you have to buy the pulley to get the bolt. HTH. -Jim
