had to replace engine housing, water pump, new gasket heater line hose, top and bottom radiator hose and flushed radiator, still running hot, take about 15 mins to run hot. drove it around the block and it performs well, no knocks or ticks. fan does work comes on when engine reaches between 210-225.

You could have a bad thermostat. Does it smell like its running hot at all?

i have a 2004 cadillac deville dts there was oil in coolant system but no coolant in oil could it be anything ells but blown head gasket 3 answers

my hoses swell up at the entrance point of the water pump and the thermastat and my car reaches 255 and say engine protection turn engine off....and my lights come on.....

Looks like there is oil in the radiator but no water in the oil. Is there a leak in the oil cooler that can contaminate the radiator coolant or is the head gasket blown?
