my transmission on my 97 catera wont shift out of first gear

Have a 1997 Cadillac catera. Leaks antifreeze exterior, thinking it could be gaskets but we have decided to purchase another vehicle. If you want car for spare parts or give it a whirl, selling for $350 as is. Let me know
