why is my speed limited to 90
That is where the computer is set to stop it is the most common reason.
Odd that a speed governor would stop a Caddy from going past 90 mph though....Hmm?? What WAS GM thinking?
So the police can catch you. Their cars are speed limited to 124 MPH. -Jim
Maybe the "garden variety" local cop cars are limited to 124 mph, but do you really think those cops/troopers with the special "police interceptor" cars like Dodge Chargers, Mustangs, Camaros, etc have speed limiters? Guessing that they need to be able to catch the occasional speed demons in Vettes, Ferraris and other insanely fast cars.
Some of the reprogramming devices can change the limiter, might check into it if interested.
@tennisshoes...I sure as heck would check into it, if I could confirm that my car was limited to 90 mph...No wait...I take that back, once a Dealer TOLD me that the car I was considering can't go faster than that, I'd fall OUT of love with that car and look at something else...LOL!
I can remember my first car, it's top speed was 58MPH wide open, with the wind. 1954 Nash Metropolitan but it got 41 Miles per gallon. Oh well days go bye you get older you slow down then ?
