My Rear A/C is working, but Front does not work.

Asked by Jul 29, 2015 at 05:01 PM about the 2011 Kia Sedona EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When it started acting up initially, it blew cold air only when the fan was on high but
now its not working at all.  When the fan is NOT on high (1,2,or 3), the A/C button LED
is lit, but no air comes out.  When you switch the fan to high (4), the LED goes out, the
fan comes on but no cold air.  The weird thing is when you first switch from low fan to
high fan (4) there is a short burst of cooled air that comes out.  Any ideas?  Resistor or
heat A/C temperature control unit? Thanks in advance.

but then it will stop working until i paly with it again...any help?

Did u ever find out the problem. I am having same issue for a few weeks now... And now today my car won't start and apparently my alternator is bad.

I had the same people 2015 Kia Sedona last year and having the same problem this year again.

Dont know if this will help everyone, but my wifes 2010 sedona would only blow ac in back, no air coming from front. I turned the ac to 4(high), located the front blower under the glove box, and gave it a tap and it came on immediately! I guess it was just seized up from heat expansion or blockage of blades, but anyways, it blows great now. I checked to see if it worked on all 4 speeds, and it did. (Otherwise, if it only ran on high, it seems it would be the resistor). Hope this free fix helps!

I have this problem with a 2010 Kia Sedona.... Anyone solved this mystery yet?

@Bciprince you totally just saved my van!! Dodge caravan, same problem, air in the back and nothing up front. Banged a shoe around under the glove box and sure as sh...t it came back on!!! Hooray for free fixes! Thanks! (I made an account on here just to reply to this that's how awesome that was!)
