Am I setting up myself for a problem purchasing a ford expedition, considering all the corrosion issues out there?
Not sure if this is just a ford problem or an industry problem but I see so many online complaints about ford not honoring their corrosion warranty - seems as if they are denying claims within the warranty parameters b/c the rust does not got all the way through.
First, you don't say what year you want to buy. I have a 2005 Eddie Bauer edition with 118000 miles. I live on the Gulf of Mexico and rust can be a real problem but have no rust that I can see except the normal surface rust you see on the exhaust pipe etc. I love my Expo as it is amazingly comfortable for a truck! I had to get something that could haul my cars without straining and this does a great job of it. I really need more information to give a better answer. I wonder how many cars are for sale that went underwater in all the flooding this year? Be careful.
