Check the knob under your brake pedal, it probably needs to be replaced.

When you press your pedal it releases a switch then engages when the pedal is release

Sticking switch itself

Remove brake switch while plug connected and find out what could be the status

brand new switch, followed the directions exactly incl waiting until it was all hooked up before rotating the release-could it be something besides the switch?
