water pump is leaking on 1998 cadillac catera

Should I replace just the water pump?

While you're there, inspect the hoses as well. If they're original, as indicated by a date stamp and "GM" stamped the hoses, definitely replace them as well. If they look like they've been replaced before and are in good shape, reuse them. Inspect the serpentine belt. If it's near the end of the tensioner travel or chunking replace that too. HTH. -Jim

Have a 1997 Cadillac catera. Leaks antifreeze exterior, thinking it could be gaskets but we have decided to purchase another vehicle. If you want car for spare parts or give it a whirl, selling for $350 as is. Let me know
