I have a Dodge Ram larmie 2008 5.7 hemi that i put the wrong oil in. 10w/30 now i have a ticking noise on cold starts. I drove it about 400 miles, chanked it out with 5w/20 and a mopar filter. noise is
Probably not. If the noise go's away after a few seconds I wouldn't worry about it.
I agree. Probably not. My 2007 hemi started making a ticking sound once due to being over due for oil change and also low on oil. (Was out of town on a job and neglected my truck severely) I added proper amount of oil and it stopped ticking. Mine the sound was high in the engine so I figured it was just lifter tap. Just for giggles I did a sea foam oil treatment when I got back in town and did my oil change. No issues since. A sea foam treatment will clean the lifters and most times stop lifter tick.
