I just bought a 1999 Cadillac every thing was working fine then two weeks later the voltage thing started to go low then after I turned the car off it wouldn't start so I would have to jump start it.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sometimes if I waited like 20 minutes
it would re charge and start up. But
know its completely dead and won't
even start with a jump start. I don't
know anything about cars so can you
please help me out?

Sounds like a bad alternator. Try leaving the jumper cables hooked up for a few minutes before trying to crank it. The battery may be really really dead. Also check your battery cable connections. Make sure they're clean and tight. HTH. -Jim
