You could either have an air pocket, a stuck thermostat or the dreaded blown headgasket. The messages you are getting could be from the computer trying to shut it down due to the overheat. Once you get the overheat repaired the computer will need a hard reset and then the drive cycle protocol ran to relearn the computer all over again. Then if you get any messages they will be true and will need attention.

i would like to sell my Cadillac 2000 sls, it only has x89,000 miles and being a woman I don't know where or who to sell it too-- some people only office 170 dollars which is a slap in the face. The body is clean, the wheels and rims are shiny in excellent condition, seats warm up, but it does need 02 sensors, as well as a rear window monitor. The problem is I am not around to keep the car and it is not getting any care--- work had been done but I haven't driven it per say for 3 years-- any suggestions? I dont know much about selling or anything about cars

That’s not even scrap price, you can try Carvana, Hertz, Car Max, those places might give you wholesale, there also might be some people looking for a car on your local Craig’s list. Remember it is an old Cadillac and they just aren’t worth too much.
