A 1999 Eldorado i wish to purchase has no remte key fob and the dealer states it never had one,is this correct as i thought all Eldorados from 1992 came with a remote key for.Thankyou,Peter

I have just noticed that the 1999 Eldorado i wish to purchase is infact a 2000 model year as it is the ESC model,the dealer has only got two keys for it,one for the ignition and one for the doors,he has told me that this model did not come with a remote key fob,i think this is incorrect,am i right.

I can't say for sure that ALL of them came with a remote keyfob, but I'm sure it was an option that many came with. You can ask another dealer to run the VIN number to see if Keyless Entry was an option that was ordered with this vehicle. If it was not, it would be more trouble and expense than it is worth to add it, as that might require replacement of expensive PCM or BCM, as well as reprogramming of existing systems.
