2000 catera the button for trunk and gas release on the dashboard doesn't work.

I GOT IT FIXED BY DEALER ..CHANGE WHAT THEY CALL ..MULTIFUNCTION MODULE AN NOTHING TO DO WITH REMOTE CONTROL PARTS AND LABOR IS $506.00.. arms and legs ha.

This repair can be done yourself. I know nothing about electrical but followed a video on how to access the module under you steering column/inside dash and then REsolder the points. Gas, trunk, and radio will work perfect! Save yourself HUNDREDS and do it yourself :)

Pull the module down from under the dash. Unplug the wiring harness from it and throw the module in the garbage. Using a jumper wire cross the number 12&14 terminals together. (they are numbered). And problem is solved.
