Temp gauge on my 1995 E300 is intemittent, mostly does not register.

Asked by Jun 07, 2013 at 12:54 PM about the 1995 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 300

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Doesn't affect cooling fan function as I think it operates off a separate sensor. Just where
is the engine temp sensor or the E300 located  so I can check it out ?

I was told the engine coolant temp gauge sensor is located under the intake manifold and you must remove the manifold to gain access
