I'm looking at a couple outbacks with ranging in 2010 to 2013 with around 70k on them. Is there any issues i need to be aware of before buying one of these? I'm looking at the 2.5 with the cvt.

Be aware that some newer Subaru's with the FB engine use oil and that the CVT can be a problem and it is expensive (very) to replace.
Depends on the price, condition, available records of maintenance... always ask for maintenance records.. I have a 2010 Subaru Outback Limited with 83,000 miles... runs great! The way the car is maintained, driven and the regional area will make a huge difference. For example, a Southern California car is probably the most desirable location ....no rust... except if it's parked at the beach! As for the CVTs, yeah, there's some out there causing problems...like any other car....For the number of cars out there..... your odds are better with Subaru than with Nissan... Could it happen? Sure. Is it expensive... well, replacement of your car is expensive also.
