2011 Subaru Legacy not starting correctly in colder weather
My 2011 Subaru Legacy won't start correctly after sitting for the day in colder weather
(`37 degrees F). The dealer has ruled out battery, starter and alternator. It starts fine in
the morning when garaged (approx temp in garage ~45 degrees F). After a day at work
(8-10 hours) sitting out in the cold, it struggles to start. It takes multiple attempts.
I've thought about this off and on since yesterday and don't know what to tell ya. I could guess at it being a weak ground in the engine bay that gets worse with the cold but it is hard to say. I would recommend going to a legacy forum or NASIOC / ultimatesubaru or other forums and asking around. There are tons of good people on them that will hopefully be able to point you in the right direction. Best regards,
Use a vacuum gauge and check for an intake air leak.
