Where does this wire go?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed the 3rd brake light (above the
license plate) and when I was putting the
wires back where they go (clips) I noticed a
creamy yellow looking wire hanging I have no
idea where it is supposed to go please help
me??

If everything is working O.K. then put a piece of elec. tape on the end and put it back . It may be there form someone elses' doings or for a feature that's not on your car . It's not uncommon to find that kind of thing .

Yup, probably for an opinion you don't have. My 93 Caprice had a wire for a power antenna option a wire for a low washer fluid light option. I bought the car new and it didn't have either option but the wiring was there. Hope that helps! Jim
