how to tell if your 2011 ford escape limited in 4 wheel drive?
Need to know if I have 4 wheel drive, as it has been in the sub zero temp and ice on road
for over a week.
Simple.......go outside put it in the snow and gas it......it only the rear tires move..2 wheel drive. If it takes off, I would say it is 4 WD..
Shawn, you mean if the rear tires rotate in the ice and snow, it's an AWD. The Escape is a FWD vehicle till the AWD is needed. But to the OP there is no indication of the AWD activating besides you feeling it connecting to the road like Shawn mentioned.
Yes...I test drove one and swore it was 2wd. I am under the impression it has a limited slip style drive system. Even looking under it seem odd. Not the standard style looking 4wd at all..The one I drove was a older one also..
Tom hit it right.....I ment to phrase it different...got caught buy tom...LOL
