My 2011 ford escape v6 3.0 xlt stalls at idle. Looking at forums normally says check IAC valve but supposedly this engine doesn't have one. What next?

Right. This vehicle is "Fly-By-Wire and does not have an IAC. Is the "Check Engine" light on? Retrieve the codes if so. Closely examine all of the air intake tubing from the air filter box to the Throttle Body for disconnections or air leaks. If the Engine gets un-metered air, the computer doesn't know how much it is actually getting and can't properly adjust the Idle.
