I wouldn't put that much into a 23 year old car unless I was keeping it for another 20 years. Put a used motor in to keep it running if you like it you'll save some $$$.

How many miles are on the car itself? Don't forget that the other components(gas tank, power this power that, wheel bearings, disc brakes etc) are probably going to need replacing at some point. I'd go for a lower mileage used engine. That way you can enjoy it and not worry about a huge cost.

hey im all about not having any car payments. so take this as a example the car is paid for right? shop around you can et that work done for a lot less money if you really like the car.i do all the work on all my cars so i save alot of money.i just cant see myself spending another 30,000 like i did for a new car thats money i can put away for others things.so again if you do your homework you can find better prices

Overall car is in excellent shape. Everything works fine - except the motor. Is it worth the money to put a used motor in it? No scratches, dents, etc.
