There's an idle speed up switch on the power steering line. When turning the steering wheel hard as in a parking or low speed turning maneuver the increased pressure on the power steering hose activates the switch to send a signal to the computer to speed up the idle about 50 RPMs to compensate for the added load and prevent stalling. I discovered today it also does it when idling and I apply the brake! Idle speed is 750 rpm!
