Is it possible for the valve covers to bend not the gaskets the actual covers

I'm asking because i simply did a gasket
change on the valve covers and the
mechanic is telling me that the covers are
not even he put a ruler in one of the sides
and it wasn't flat the whole way now i think
that he is not experience ed in BMW can
you guys give me some input on the valve
covers for this car.

yes they can warp, especially if when the gaskets were replaced and they weren't torqued in the proper sequence and in inch lbs. It use to happen a lot with the old stamped steel ones, but they were really forgiving and with a little effort you could get then back into shape, the newer aluminum ones not so much, they tend to break rather easily.

The ones that my car have are plastic and we are talking about like 3 mm. Space can i just put silicone on that part

If you are going to use silicone use what is called "The Right Stuff" is is expensive but it lasts and seals very well if you follow the directions, in your case I would apply it, bolt everything together and let it setup, usually overnight is best.

Can the valve covers warp after taking them off I'm asking because I did a valve cover gasket change and the mechanic actually showed me the gap it was like 3 mm. 6 answers
But prior to that the car it only leaked by 4 spark plugs and it was running fine now it startles so hard that it turns off and is leaking horrible all around the valve covers
