My key doesn't stay in the slot, always reject but car runs fine. What can i do to fix it ?
It sounds like the mechanical part of the switch, or lock cylinder is bad. If you are going to try to replace it yourself, research the correct procedure for your car so that the anti-theft system doesn't kick in.
please...get a New battery...your old one isn't going to magically heal...the ole LEAD batteries would be more forgiving...but now the tin/antimony alloy ones will last about 10 years as they will stop accepting a charge at 10 percent per year...and will put out reduced capacity...(weak voltage and amperage) get a new battery...not clear on your key situation....an electronic key probably needs full amperage to behave itself~...with your NEW battery, check the function~ New battery should FIX it~!
right on, not really sure if your problem is mechanical or electrical, but bob is right about the batt. it can even cause your computer to act weird. check all connections too, grounds especially
