my 1995 530i will not turn over. the gages both stopped working while driving, and when I stopped to check for problem, I turned off the moter and it wouldnt restart !

while driving my 95 bmw 530i in town, the gages suddenly stopped working however the car continued to drive fine until I stopped and parked. I turned the car off and then attempted to restart it. when I turned the key the on to start position it wouldn't even click. the lights, signals radio, and most other functions continued to be able to work but not a peep out of the starter 0r gages.

Check connections to your battery to make sure they are good and tight. It could also be a loose ground point. Check the obvious ones in the engine bay and there might be others that are more hidden. It could also be your alternator.
