I have a 1990 530 BMW and the battery is draining
and it won't start unless I prime through the air box
but once it starts it runs like it's regular and then
when I stop shut it off I have to prime it again to
get it to start
I'd take a look at your thermo-time switch~ http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/161951127623? lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true
I guess from when I was a mechanic in Berkeley..just about burned up the startermotor, until a smart-ass co-worker pointed me to this...a five cylinder Audi..felt nothing but shame~
