oil level sensor
i have bmw 325i 2005,
two months ago a signal (service engine soon)appeared on the screen, then I took the car to a specialist bmw, and he connected the car on a computer that read : oil level sensor
oil light doest not turned on
i Check the oil level with the dipstick and it was normal
should i change the oil level sensor??
Some newer models of BMWs don't have dipsticks and just rely on the electronic oil level indicator. I hate not having a dipstick. It probably would be a good idea to have the sensor replaced. It may save you an engine in the event of a serious oil leak.
Yes, replace the oil level sensor, you have to drain the oil to do so. $50 for a new one. I use fcpeuro.com for my parts.
first check oil level sensor wire before anything
