loss of power

my 1998bmw328i recently   
had a crack in the cooling
resavior i got that fixed
but now my car looses
power and shimmys when
i give it gas, could the
water got into the motor
or transmission and be
causing this?

Shimmies, that could be suspension related. You can check if you have water in your engine by pulling the dipstick. Trans you would have to have someone check it as you can only access from the underside.
