Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The rear passenger door was taken to the Ford dealer.  He popped off the
panel and lubed the locking mechanism.  It worked for about 3 weeks then is
stuck in the locked position again.  Service manager claimed it would be over
$600 to fix.  Any cheaper ideas?  This has been a trouble free vehicle up to this
point.

Have an independent shop look at it. A body shop might be the best bet.
