Recently I hit a pothole and have to replace my tire. I have run flat tires and 40.000 miles on it. Do I have to replace all 4? I have run flats

Since you have X-drive, all of the tires should be around the same tread depth or circumference. You have 40K miles on the existing tires now? I'm sure they are ready to replace at this point.

Continental ContiproContact runflat tires run about $210 apiece at the discount places I checked. However, there is a market for used ones. You can buy them on Ebay. I paid $160 (delivered to CA from FL) for a pair with 70% of the tread left, paid to have them put on the front, and then $120 installed for a pair with 60% left here in CA. Where do the used ones come from? Mostly when dealers take trade-ins, they buy all new, cheaper tires. So these discount places buy up the tires. They're not perfect, but they work.
