Normal operating temperature for your Cruze is about 195°F. To put this in perspective the hot water coming out of your faucet at home, is only about 125°F and you know how hot that feels, I assume. As long as the engine is not running hot (over about 220°F) the fans may not need to come on. Sounds like everything is running normally. Normal operating temperature range is between 195°F and 210°F. If you're stuck in traffic on a hot day with the air conditioning on the temp gauge may creep up to around the 220°F mark. The fans will probably come on then. HTH. -Jim
