Stabilitrack on 2011 Chevy Impala

Asked by Mar 15, 2017 at 04:32 PM about the 2011 Chevrolet Impala LS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving home last night from work when my thermostat went out! No
problem as i have one sitting at home. The next day (Today) I went outside
and fixed the thermostat. I put the new one in and since I had to take the
coolant tube off i also had to replace alot of coolant cause of how much was
lost. Anyways i was driving down the road and all of a sudden my car says it
was overheating, it also said service stabilitrack service traction control
reduced engine power, and also before any of this my oil was at %76 oil life
now its saying change oil soon %0 oil life! WTF is happening to my car!

Did u take the battery cable off when u did the repair

No, i didnt touch anything else other than the coolant tube the thermostat and to pour coolant into the reservoir

Was the cooling system purged after refilling? And you must have bumped some wires say maybe at the throttle positioning sensor on the throttle body? May be a bad connection.

only thing i bumped was the radiator fans other than that theres no reason for it to act up like it is

Ok are the fans coming on, when its up toi temperature

yes the fans are coming on the thermostat is working properly but yet the car is still overheating
