2011 CHEVROLET AVEO LS/LT Cranks but won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Asking for a friend. The car supposedly ran before the Stereo was removed
after it was removed it won't run. It cranks the fuel pump works. the fuses are
all good would the stereo cause it and if so how do I fix it when the stereo is
gone? Hooked up OBD2 and it said stereo wiring lock. Can the lock be
bypassed?

This is an anti theft feature and unfortunately the only people that can fix it is the dealer as far as I know
