How to fix 2011 Toyota Avalon Limited power window problem.
After an icy snow storm, accumulated ice caused the driver side window to
operate poorly and now it does not work properly. My son asked around and
was told that the window "has to be re-calibrated." Also that removing the
battery would mean that ALL systems of the car including ALL windows
would also have to be re-calibrated. This does not sound like a simple DIY fix.
Does anyone have an easier solution? Thanks!
Bummer. These days EVERYTHING in a car is computerized, even the windows :( If you disconnect the battery you will probably lose all the settings. You probably will need to take the car to a Toyota dealer to "recalibrate" your window. My new Subaru had a similar problem because the dealer forgot to program the window after servicing it. Maybe there is a Youtube video on the subject.
