Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 2012 dodge that is stuck in (limp mode) 4th gear. I
could cut the engine off and restart it to get it to go into D
or even manual shift but sooner or later in slipped right
back into 4th (limp mode). I pulled over to jump a friend off
the other day and now its stuck permanently I think cuz my
little trick no longer works.. can someone plz tell me wat
may have caused it something I could look for or even how
to repair it because im lost on where to even start..

It needs a trip to the service department as there is a problem with the transmission.

its your Transmission shift solenoid, change it out!

i had same issue, changed the shift solenoid, now truck wont start, shows reverse or all indicators light up
