2010 F150 My running lights and head lights work but my brake lights and turn signals do not

Asked by Nathaniel Jan 25, 2018 at 02:23 PM about the 2010 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCab 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

I installed LED rear lights in my 2010 F150 and loved them. They worked fine.
So I replaced my headlight bulbs with LED bulbs and everything has worked
great for approximately 6 months.

Now all of a sudden my brake lights and turn signals don't work. I tried some
resistors on the rear lights and that did not fix the problem.

So, I have now pulled out all of the LED lights and replaced them with the
original incandescent lights. All of the lights turn on and function as running
lights, but my brake lights and turn signals still don't work even with all of the
bulbs changed back to factory.

In the diagram, the top wire colors for the lamps are voltage. The bottom wire is ground, check voltage and ground if you haven't already. Use a test light. The smart junction box is involved, it is a glorified fuse box and has logic. There are fuses. The brake and turn use the same bulb filament but not at the same time.

bbbind.com should have a wiring diagram for your vehicle. I believe the wiring diagram I posted came from my database. I pay for access. The site I just mentioned is free. Hope it helps.

Hey Nathaniel! Did you ever find the answer to your question? I'm having the EXACT same problem, except its just one of my LED tail lights not both
