Perhaps remove the panel on the drivers side and formulate a plan with a slim jim or a small hole in the passenger panel to trip the mechanism

This is a very hard job if you do not have the right tools, the rear seats have to be taken out and with that door stuck increases the difficulty the you special door panel tools to slide in and under the door panel with the door shut to get the panel off.
