when I first start my F150 it has a loud ticking noise but then quiets down after it is warm but the noise is still there

Have you opened the hood to determine where the ticking is coming from? Just from the limited info I have to go on, my guess is you have an exhaust leak at one of the flanges making the tick and as the engine and exhaust pipes get warmer the gap closes due to the heat and no more tick.

Thank you for your comments about my problem with my 1996 for f150, I checked to see if the fan clutch was able to move, it is very secure, there has been a new serpenteen belt put on. So still don't know what is causing the noise, happened one day after it was worked on. 1 answer
