trade in deduction
Was offered $9500 for my trade towards new car purchase..Initiated 3 yr
loan.Approx 6 months later,instead of the $9500 you were offered,you now
realize $8000 of the $9500 has been deducted for repairs to your trade and
$8000 added to your loan.
Unless this was a lease turn in, ah NO!! When you trade in a vehicle the dealer buys it from you at the wholesale price. No different than if you sold it to some "Joe" on the street. Contact your local Office of Consumer Affairs on this one! Sounds illegal to me. Unless, as I said, this is a lease turn in. HTH. -Jim
What a SCAM! Read the fine print but I hope you did not sign a contract that allowed them to deduct for repairs. In any case they would have to provide proof of such alleged repairs.
heck no.Matter of fact asked the dealer what they repair that added up to $8000.Wouldnt tell me.Prob turn this over to an attorney thanx for the answer
