Just had Subaru change the belts on our 2010 Outback. After the repair the symptom of torque converter failure has occurred. I believe that the belt changes has created this new issue.

Its like saying changing the air filter caused your tail light to blow bulbs.

No connection at all. No more than if they changed the head light bulbs.

Guru9BW5J-. YES, purely coincidence... But, what's the mileage on the car?? I'm guessing over 100,000 miles?

When you say "symptoms"... exactly what do you mean??

Firstly, your '10 OB has a SINGULAR outer accesory serpentine belt, and a single inner cam timing belt. Regardless, of which belt you've replaced, the failure of the CVT's torque converter is indeed simply a coincidence. 2010 CVT's are popping all over the place, completely non-correlated with mileage, and torque- converter failure is obvious, so ignore Mark's unnecessary query paths to keep this as simple and alternate facts-free as possible.

Are all repairs more expensive than on ford escape?

No.
