my trunk opens when I slightly touch the key fob

What could be wrong with the latch?

Probably not the latch, more likely the key fob, replace the key fob battery and see if that corrects the problem, if not try using a different key fob, if the problem then goes away with the different fob then the first key is problem.

Thanks, Mark: I will try the battery, wherever it is. Because it causes the panic to go off also sometimes. I have tried both fobs and it still happens. Donna

The battery is located inside the fob, if you don't know how to do it yourself someplace like batteries plus can do it for you. If that doesn't do the trick then the dealer is your only choice as it may be a computer problem.

None of the above. Took the fob to dealer and he opened it and there are round contacks for each button. If they aren't seated good and roll around that is the problem. He gave me new guts and the old one back and said a person can also super glue the contact so it doesn't move.
