I have 2010 mazda cx7...just replaced the battery , passenger window will not go up more than 2 inches

Did it just happen when you did the battery? Try taking the negative cable off the battery again for a couple minutes and reconnect. If it still doesn't go up, do you hear any grinding? If so the regulator might have failed. You will have to take off the inner door panel to diagnose what is causing it to bind.

I got something similar on a 2007 model. The passenger windows will not go down from the left driver command, but did work from the passenger command button. To fix this I held the car key button to open a few seconds. This reactive the electric glass system like a full reset.
