2010 Ford Escape check engine light came on just after reaching 75,000 miles. Car seems to be running fine, not overheating and engine not missing that I can tell. What could be cause for light?
There were no other prior trouble messages or lights. There was a significant outside temperature change over a 5 day period (from 50 degrees to 32 degrees).
It can be any number of issues to a bad O2 sensor or misfire of one of the coils. I'd have the computer scanned at an local auto parts store and post the 4 digit code back here and we can tell you what to do next.
