Accessory Delay Relay?

That relay is #48, interior fuse box. Found this in your owners manual. These online owners manuals are not always correct, but, that and wiring diagram is all I have to use for reference. The diagram for that radio didn't show a relay. There were several radio diagrams I could choose from, depending on your radio, I didn't look at all of them. Can you operate the radio manually at the radio and not at the steering wheel?

So as you can probably tell, I don't know much about this, but that #48 if I replace that I'm thinking that will solve my problem, but I can't find that part to buy it. Could it be called something else? I cannot operate the radio at all. It just plays and only shuts off when I shut the car off AND open the door. I don't have any controls on my steering wheel. Do you think that could solve it?

If controls on the radio don't work, maybe something wrong with radio? I can't think of anything else at the moment.

I don’t think it is the radio. I pulled the fuse out to the radio and it did the exact same thing, came on when I started the car, and doesn’t turn off until I turn the car off and open the door.

In the diagram I looked at, there are two fuses for the radio. One fuse is hot all the time, probably controls radio memory and clock. The other fuse goes hot with key on and powers the radio. That fuse should not be hot with the key off, if it is, may have to check feed to and from ignition switch.

Did you ever solve the problem with your radio? Mine is doing the same.

The accessory fuse that is mentioned is actually called the accessory delay relay fuse. It is doing it's job. The purpose of the relay is to allow you to use the radio, electric locks, power windows, moonroof while in the car with the key off but before you have exited the vehicle.
