I have a 2010 Ford Escape and 2 months ago the rear "lift" door will not open...what do I need to do?

Asked by Oct 11, 2014 at 08:08 AM about the 2010 Ford Escape XLS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The rear "lift" dooor will not open.  The glass opens still but not the whole door.  I go to
lift the door and nothing happens.  Nothing.  So therefore i am forced to use the glass
lift which is not a good thing all the time.  Is there a motor or fuse for the door lift?
Please advise.
Thank you
cmills

Possiibly the lock actuator failed or the wiring. Will be tricky to remove the inner panel with it in the locked position.
