Have you tried changing the battery in the fob? And did both keys quit working at the same time?

yes both fobs have good new batteries and yes both keys stop working at the same time

Any work done at the time on the vehicle that required disconnecting the battery?

I wonder if the car happened to forget the programming...to reprogram the keys, turn key to on, not start, wait 10 1/2 minutes and turn key off before 45 seconds (do not remove key)...repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 cycles. Turn key back to on to finish. Wait 5 seconds before trying to start

i had the locksmith come out and he checked my keys and said the keys are good

I've been doing some reading into this and have found that the keys send a code to an antenna ring which in turn sends the code to the cars computer

ok so what would i need to replace to get my car fixed the keys are called mykeys

Knowing what I know now, I would look into having the antenna ring (also known as immobilizer module) replaced

Not with 100% certainty, but from what I've read itd around the ignition switch cylinder

ok ill see if i could find it thank you so much if you think of anything else please message thank you
