Chevrolet Impala ltz 2010 parking brake
I want to buy new brake rotors for my Impala ltz 2010, they ask me if it Contain Drum in Hat Parking Brake (Not Integrated Parking Brake)?
Thanks for answering my question.
Ok. It's something that you have to look at.
If you are stumped on what a "Drum in a Hat" is, it is a small old fashion brake that is small, sits in the center of the disk rotor and is used for a parking brake. You have to look at it to see. Either remove the rear wheel or go under and look at the brake itself. Picture a hat with a flat brim. In the center of the brim will be the part that fits over and covers the head of the wearer. Now picture a disk brake rotor with a center raised to hold two brake bands inside it. That is what a "Drum in a Hat" is.
