no heat when car iddling

when stopped at stop light , heater blows cold air

i would suggest changing your thermostat. its a 5-10 dollar part easy change. other then that. its too new to be having heater core issues. let me know your results. if that doesn't work we will digg deeper

had car to dealership. They cant fix it. replaced thermastat and everything they could think of


as i read more and more online. this is an unfortunate problem with the ford taurus.. im going to keep digging around to see what i can come up with.


take a look at your overflow tank and see if it is above the normal level?


i have found a tsb thread for you. it is for the flex but it is the same sort of deal for your car ( aslong as you have a eco boost engine) there is a procedure intact on how to remove trapped air and how to check for the check valve in your vent tube. you may either take a look and try some of these methods yourself or print it off and bring it to your ford dealership and say i want these items looked at tsb12-04-02.pdf
