Check to see if the tires are in good condition and properly balanced. This can be caused by bad shocks as well.

Above poster got it. Check tires, take em to a shop that can spin balance them. A broken steel belt in a tire can cause it to vibrate at certain speeds or on certain road conditions. If you take it to a shop they likely also check condition of rotors, lug nuts, shocks/struts, brakes, etc.

Correct. And if a broken steel belt is broken, like KenF points out, let me add that it is dangerous to drive the car with that tire.

Worn out bushings on the lower control arms will also cause those symptoms and are a common problem. Also the intermediate shaft that joins steering column to steering rack can develop play at the universal joint and can be felt as a vibration and other times as a rattling noise at certain times. Neither are expensive or hard to fix.
