trunk button problem

cant open trunk with button or key cylinder turns with key but wont open  the
button worked before  but had spells of not working   fuse is good  possible the
button bad? if so how do i replace it

Not likely the button. Much more likely the body control module. Not cheap to fix, so you might want to make sure the key locks still work and start using your keys to get into the car.
