My car tries to go forward in park and neutral.
Took off shift linkage,to verify that it was
not the problem. it also doesn't move in
reverse. No burnt fluid.
Transmission guy said that they don't rebuild these trannys, they are called throw aways because, they cost too much to rebuild. He quoted me a price of $500.00 for a 25,000 mile warranty and $850.00 for a 100,000 mile warranty. Cheap, also $500.00 to install.
Sounds like the tranny shifter linkages move moved, broke, or bent and are causing the shifting issues. Very common in some cars.
